Two Are Better Than One
Hey Hey!
Recently, I basically treated myself and bought myself some magazines. Yes! I consider it a treat because I have not bought a magazine since 2013. While reading the Elle mag, I came across the article "Double Up" and " Happy Together", which immediately made me think of a blog post a friend of mine wrote http://thecoconutlists.blogspot.com/2015/02/trend-alert-double-bagging.html?view=timeslide, about a Trend Alert.
Seeing that it is the month of 'Love', bringing us both Valentine's Day and Galentine's Day, which represent the importance of loved ones and significant others etc. So I decided to show some designers who paired up and decided that two heads were better than one as well as you get to see upcoming trends because all of the images are from the Spring/Summer 2015 Collection. Those living in the States and Europe, this is around the corner! YAY! Whereas, for those living in Africa and possibly South America, We still have a few months to prepare.
1) Alice Heusser + Olivia Kennaway = Lalesso
This duo met at a fashion school in Cape Town, South Africa and were inspired by the women on the Lamu island that wore the Khanga cloth. The brand was founded in 2005 and focuses on African craftsmanship and textiles.
1) Kim Trager + Lowell Delaney = Trager Delaney
Trager Delaney was launched in 2012, after Kim Trager and Lowell Delaney graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design. This brand is based in London and is for women who will not compromise.
3) Daniela + Annette Felder = Felder Felder
This brand was launched by identical twin sister in London after they completed their studies at Central Saint Martins in 2006 . They add a feminine touch to the rock and roll aesthetics.
