Main Chick Mondays :Quann Sisters

Hey Hey!

Well, I know how it sounds but the Title is not about the ongoing battle of 'Main Chicks vs. Side Chicks', It really is like a Woman Crush Wednesday but on a Monday. Why?, you may ask.  I never remember Wednesdays because they are not really close to a Friday BUT I can always remember a Monday( if I ever forget, people will remind me!). This is also to create a post that you can expect weekly covering all sorts of women for numerous reasons.

To start our weekly segment, I bring forth two gorgeous twins.

Cipriana and Takenya ( TK Wonder) Quann

Right side, Cipriana Quann. Left side, TK

Cipriana Quann , blogger/ vlogger  and co-founder of their website Urban Bush Babes. After she chose to leave the modelling world because of the pressure to change the texture of her hair; she began on this venture(more like adventure) with her sister, Takenya also known as TK Wonder in the music industry.

She has now graced the cover of Covergirl; worked with The National Trust for Historic Preservation to preserve a couple of New York Historic sites  and Vogue awarded her "Best Dressed in 2013". Proving that she is not just a pretty face for your #WCW.

Takenya Quann on the other hand is an amazing Songstress, Lyricist and Songwriter known for lyrics that have a more 'spoken word' feel with the backing of an electro punch. She started out with poetry and since then emerged into a rapper who is renowned for addressing social issues.

Their style is mostly inspired by the seventies. Known for liking the same item of clothing however choosing to wear it differently is how they express themselves.

Why I voted them Main Chicks for this Monday is because...
“It is the rise after the fall that displays our true will power, failure is a part of life but your journey no matter what it may concern does not stop because of them and as a Urban Bush Babe I feel we can show individuals it is really are “imperfections” and uniqueness that not only make us beautiful but showcase our strength.” -Cipriana

We can all learn to put aside our creative niches and create something that is great; though someone may say that we are not their definition of Beautiful, does not mean we are not Beautiful at all and really it is all about growth at the end of the day, whether you have to pick yourself up after a fall or develop yourself to the point that you expand your comfort zone.

  1. They are very refreshing and relevant role models for the young and recently young...reminding us yo stay true to self, no matter how heavy the pressure to conform to others' idea of 'acceptable'
